Shuko Tamao
Cain Curatorial Fellow
Shuko Tamao is a curatorial fellow at the Science History Institute’s Center for Oral History, conducting oral history interviews and integrating oral history information into museums and other public and educational settings. Tamao earned a graduate certificate in public history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a PhD in history at the University at Buffalo, where she conducted oral history interviews related to the history of disability and medicine. Before joining the Center for Oral History, Tamao was a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Medicine and Science, National Museum of American History, where she participated in exhibition planning activities.
